Deuteronomy 30:19

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you
that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing:
therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

1. See what is around you. See your environment. See what is before you.
2. Choose life.
3. Reject the evil.

You are responsible for your choices,
and you are responsible to choose righteousness
and reject the evil.

As you do this,
you are staying inside the limits of God's righteous nature.
You are keeping your virtue.
You can do this with confident faith
once you accept God and His word, as true for your life.

When God is your authority upon which you base your decisions,
then you never have to worry about the shifting sands of man's opinion.

You will be set free from the fear of man and being judged by other people's opinion.

Each of your choices takes you in a direction.

Where will you go?

The answer for all is, Walk in the light while you have the light. Draw near to God and HE will draw near to you.

God bless you and keep you in His way by His mercy.
In Jesus' Holy and Blessed Name, Amen.

Jesus was raised on butter and honey (the good things of truth and life) so He could know to refuse the evil and choose the good. See Isaiah 7:15 I suppose the scripture put first to refuse the evil because there is so much of it that most likely one would enounter many evils to reject before encountering one good thing to choose. But the main point is, refuse the evil and choose the good. Help your child gain this ability by raising him on good thoughts, good pictures, good words. Once the taste is trained to good food, it becomes easy to reject the slime.

Micah 6:8

He hath showed thee, O man, what is good: and what doth the LORD require of thee,
but to do justly
and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with thy God
