GM FOODS

OT GM crops are more dangerous to humans by consumption and small farmers by their sterility which doesn't allow for a seed crop and forces them to buy new, expensive seed each year from Monsanto and others who have patented their genetically engineered seed in an attempt to control all agricultural production and acting as a monopoly all the while reaping enormous profit. Monsanto, originally a chemical co., has even gone as far as trespassing on field's of farmers with property adjacent theirs where these GM crops are grown to sample the crops of these farmers and test these samples for wind blown pollen from the Monsanto crop and then sues the farmers for growing the seed patented by Monsanto in an attempt to force the farmers to buy seed from them. Monsanto is attempting to control food production on a worldwide scale by attempting to destroy all stocks of native origin that have been cultivated for thousands of years by planting their GM crops in close proximity to these native crops which cross pollinates them and leaves the farmers with sterile seed and forces them to buy from Monsanto. Monsanto has done this in remote regions of Mexico in the heart of the region that has given birth to most of the world's corn varieties and will eventually eliminate all native seed in this manner unless stopped. As a result, small subsistence farmers will be wiped out and left to starve with larger corporate farming replacing them. It's insidious, evil and a sign of the times we live in where corporations play God by controlling our food and medicine for their profit.

GM or GENETICALLY MODIFIED foods are no good for you, but it is profitable for the big food companies.

News July 3, 2002 Russia to ban US imports of GM (Genetically Modified) maize, soya in Oct - minister MOSCOW (AFX) - The government will ban imported genetically modified maize and soya from the US in October, at least temporarily, agriculture minister Sergei Dankvert said. The restrictions come under a new law on GM foods, which takes effect on Oct 1 and authorizes a limited list of GM products that can be imported into Russia, Dankvert was quoted as saying by Interfax news agency. He added however that the Russian authorities are examining "the possibility of authorizing" the US GM products. "This is a process which will happen naturally one day," Dankvert said. He also said that separate negotiations will be held with the United States on the importation of meat from animals fed with GM foods. Russian health authorities have warned that the effects on humans of GM products have not been adequately studied and that they interfere with the immune system.
