Serat was built as a city of hope for young couples, but now, January 20, 2009,it is under fire from Gaza-Hamas.
Serat and Hamas in Gaza, one and one half miles apart, 14 seconds for residents of Serat to run to safety after warning of incoming rocket from Gaza by Hamas.
Some rockets come from 2 1/2 miles away in the Gaza area.
This part on Israel and Jerusalem is here at the urging of my friend Stephen Wick.
He is supplying materials for the expansion of this greatly needed truth.

Psalm 122
1. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
2. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3. Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
4. Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
5. For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
8. For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
9. Because of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek thy good.
Verses 6-7 tell us how to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Verse 8 gives another reason to pray for Jerusalem's peace.
Vs. 9 brings a conclusion that few evangelical preachers of this day understand:
"Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good."
Pray for the peace of Israel.
What advantage then has the Jew? Much in that God chose them to be the keepers of His word to man.
They were the original people of God's choosing? Not because they were strong.
Not because they were great. Neither because they were many in number; for they were none of these things.
They were not a nation when He chose them, except in His mind; for He chose one man, Abram,
and promised of him to make a great nation.
And He has worked in them all these years to preserve His word.
They kept it up through the time of the Gentiles.
God had ordained they would not be able to see the Light which is come from heaven in Christ.
And just as He put the responsibility upon them to preserve the word up through Christ,
now, it is the responsibility of the Gentiles to send the light of His mercy in Christ to the Jews.
Pray for the peace of Israel. Blessed are they who pray for the people of God.
My long time friend Stephen Wick has asked this page to be here for the Jews, the people of the nation of Israel.
He is raising money to send to them, as well as praying for them, and corresponding with some.
The needs are great.
The entire regions surrounding them are against them.
Yet, God is for them. He has promised to deliver them and to save them from their enemies.
What else can you do but believe God will bless a man or woman who joins in agreement together with Him
in doing what He promised He would do, help the Jews.
I invite you to return to this page often as it will have menu item updates on topics connecting with Israel.
Meanwhile, should you choose to enter in to God's ministry of helps to the people of Israel, and especially to those
born-again Jews who are ministering to their neighbors in the land of Israel, send your contribution to the work and be a blessing by blessing His people in Israel.
Blessed are they who help the people of God.
Some of the questions answered include:
who is the seed of Abraham
was the promise given Abraham by the law or by the righteousness of faith?
how does Isaac figure into the promise given to Abraham?
what does all this mean for Christians? Galatians 3:16
what does it mean for Jews? Genesis 21:12
