The preferred advantage of any attacker is to attack without the victim being aware. I learned this when the local Superintendent quoted from Machiavelli's The Prince in a district notice of plans and goals. So I went and bought a copy to read it myself. Thank you, Dr. Carnine, for showing what book you liked well enough to use its quotation as introduction to the "major cultural changes" you had been working since your arrival. The strategy preferred in the book was to keep the people in the dark about the changes you wanted to make until you had gone so far they couldn't do anything about it. That is what has happened in education generally in America for the last many decades.
Dr. Carnine even used the district school newspaper to publish a story about a "manufactured crisis" in education. In that article, dissenting views from the establishement were denigrated, berated, belittled, and otherwise reduced to nothing, and claimed to be the false pretentions of ignorant people who did not have all the facts. The dissenting views were voiced by many locally, and statewide, and nationally. Our superintendent saw fit to denounce those views saying they had no substance, were unfounded, unreasonable. He called the dissenting views... manufactured, made up, no basis in truth. Well, I disagreed with Dr. Carnine then and have spent this year putting it in print for parents to judge for themselves.
I have now concluded that every Christian child should be given a good teacher to go through The Prince and explain to that child and the parents how devious people can be and will be if given the opportunity.
There was a poster proclaiming the excellence of Goals 2000 in Fain School when my girls were in the first grade. I went to Dr. Carnine's office to ask how much of Goals 2000 was here. He denied any of it was here. When I returned to the school from that Superintendent's office, that poster was down, gone, not there. Though the name has changed from Goals 2000 to Excellence in Education, much of the agenda of the U.N. plan for international education of children has been accomplished in all fifty states. The U.N. plan for international education was brought to America in 1989. Today, our eighth grade students test down at the bottom of the world, twenty-eighth in the world, after countries you've never even heard of. Yet, all the public school system releases to parents is mis-information about Excellence in Education. I'm not saying any one locally is trying to dumb down the children. At this site you can see for yourself how it is a designed plan from many influential powers. The Dumbing Down of Our Children is a book you must read. It explains much of how this happened.
Parents can protect their children from something they see, but who knows to protect when they have been sung a lullaby that everything is excellent? The most difficult problem parents have to overcome is how to protect their children from the attacks they don't see.
There is a spiritual warfare for the hearts and minds of children. All too often the battleground is not only on television and movies but even in public schools. Humanists and atheists have decided your child is better off not believing in God. So they push philosophies of men at the children to train their minds in ways contrary to scripture. Consequences of ignoring the truth about warfare in the public schools can affect the rest of your child's life as well as throughout all eternity. Godly action taken by parents can help their children both in this present life-time as well as that which is to come.
1 Timothy 4:8 says "...godliness is profitable both in this lifetime as well as that which is to come."
Christian America is hearing a wake-up trumpet to give their children a godly education.
In the last days deception is abounding, and those who receive a love of the truth will overcome.
Those who deny the truth will be overcome by the deception.
God bless you and give you the Spirit of Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding, and the fear of the Lord.
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. We are told to perfect holiness in the fear of God.
So when the desire for His goodness doesn't motivate the heart hopefully the fear of His wrath and eternal judgment will prevent us from evil. It used to be in America that it was a complement of a man to say that he had the fear of God. I think we could all repent from the presumption on grace that has been rampant in this country for too long.
The Bible teaches us to prove all things. We're not supposed to just blindly trust things. So I invite you to read this site and make your own determination. From here you can find links to many other voices, even of national stature declaring the same general things. Indeed I have validated my own observations locally with national witnesses around the country. If you quit taking just the local school district information and get an outside view, you may decide this site is essentially right on track.

I am asking people to take part in the parent overseeing of their children's education.
Those who gained our liberties for us realized one great truth, United we stand, Divided we fall.
The system of education easily sweeps away any single dissenting voice, telling them "Well, Mr. so and so, you're the only one in eight years to complain about this. What's wrong? Maybe you just don't understand like you should." So join up with other parents who truely want to be responsible for the content and methods used in training up their children. Read this site. Come back to it and study it.
Copy it out and reproduce it at home. Tell others about it. Remember from this site you can find creation science, national sites, and more. It takes people working together to accomplish a worthwhile goal in this wonderful republican government we still have in America. Work together with me. Let's get the job done. We can, with the help of God, give our children a godly school system, at least for Christian children; and no one else has to go there if they don't want to. Madlyn Murry O'Hare can send her grandkids to some school that ignores God in all its ways, but as for me I desire to do my best to send children to a school that acknowledges God in all its ways.
