I only show you this link because I hope you will realize there is organized opposition to the way you want your child trained up in school. The opposition has long recognized there is a battle for the classroom control.
When will the comfortable Christians recognize the people who have set their sights on their children through tax dollars, your money, spent on the public schools?
There is an organized group calling themselves, The People For the American Way.
I disagree with their name. There is the true definition of the American way, as defined by those men who shed their blood and fortune to establish this nation. Their way was according to the laws of nature and of nature's God, as explained in the Declaration of Independence. The American way was established by those men who established this nation called America. I agree with that true definition of America. The Founding Fathers definition of the American way is the one I accept.
The Founders of America said in the Declaration of Independence that they put a firm reliance upon the continued help of God. They also set up a Constitution for America. The Consitution explains how the government would work to rule the nation that was established by the Declaration of Independence. The Constitution was defined in Christian legal terms as recognized and established by the common law terms of Great Britain. America was established on the principles of British common law, and there was full recognition that common law recognized the sovereignty of God and of His laws, just as did the Founding Fathers.
So, I say the organization linked for you from here is not the American way. They are followers of a socialistic, godless, democracy that allows God to be ignored. They are trying to establish a social democracy to replace the original legal definition of America, which is a republic under God. Noah Webster's definition of the republican form of government was that it was only truely understood through the Bible, that it was based on God and on His revealed law, according to scripture. The idea of giving us a republic was to avoid the confusion of a democracy based only on a popular vote. They wanted the people to rule under God. They did not want the people to rule above or without God. The Founding Fathers placed God's word as the sovereign law, indeed they called God the Supreme Judge of the world. But the group below, pfaw, does not want our children to know the truth of our American history, and they have won many battles over the classroom control.
That atheistic father of modern education, John Dewey, popularized the concept of a socialistic democracy as opposed to a republic under the laws of God. Under a socialistic democracy, the individual loses his rights as they are taken over by both the state, and by groups. Under a socialistic democracy, the individual can hope to change any law so that it becomes legal to break all the commandments of God.

A republic under God can never allow the vote of people to set up laws that are contrary to the laws of nature and of nature's God. That is the heart of the matter, whether we have a republic as guaranteed in the Constitution as our form of government, which is limited by the laws of God;
or whether in an evolutionary society, people will be allowed to make any laws they desire.
