Milk of the Word

The food you provide for your wife and child and yourself
affects your total body system, including mind, heart, and soul. If you're a farmer, planting the word of God for Christ's sake, then consider the differences in food at the banquet table of the Lord.

There is milk, meat and strong meat. There is butter, honey, living water, and wine.

What differences does it make what your child, spouse, friend, or neighbor eats or doesn't eat?
Big question. Important answers.

What differences does it make what you feed your child's mind, heart and soul?
Strong and true examples are given.

Are you a teacher? Please be aware what you're serving. In Hebrews 5:12- we read that strong meat is reserved.... In practice though it should be reserved, it often isn't. And the consequence is to hurt the digestive system. What happens if you give a nursing baby a piece of steak, even ground sirloin? Wrong food served prematurely can cause allergies or other problems. As it is in the natural, that is a good picture from whence we can learn worth while lessons. If we take time to consider them, we can understand.

As Isaiah wrote, See, Know, Consider, and Understand. Those are four principles God will help us apply in our life.

The milk of the word is that which tells us what God has done for us all in Christ. Like a mother's predigested food for her babe, the milk of the word gives us what God has prepared in Christ. Anything requiring anything of us is not the pure milk of the word. Commandments of law, they are not milk. Instructions of what we are to do, that too is not milk. Demands upon us are not milk. Milk is the telling of what God has done for us in Christ. To feed the babe a little milk mixed with meat can be compared to poluting the milk with arsenic. The babe can choke on the meat and have a very difficult time with it. It can cause him to confuse the milk and miss the point of the milk. Do not mix milk and law, do not mix mercy and law or grace and law. Keep the milk pure for when you serve it to babes. And especially remember to reserve strong meat for those defined by Hebrews 5:12

At the cross, He paid the penalty of death for all sin.
From Isaiah 53 we read more milk. More details of what God did for us in Christ.
He bore our griefs and our sorrows, our afflictions and our pains, our heart-breaks and disappointments. Our most terrible emotional experiences, He took to the cross where the power of them was destroyed, and through the death, burial, and resurrection, those things were worked together for good.

God gave us His love.
He exercised Mercy upon us.
He sent Christ through His mercy.

He made us acceptable in the Beloved, in Christ Jesus.

He did everything to reconcile us to Himself.
He took away all our sins. He forgave them all, and removed them from us.
He took the old spirit we inherited from Adam, and gave us a new Spirit.
He gave us the living word of God.
He gives us faith.
He gives us eternal life.
He sent the Holy Ghost to us.
He led us to repentance.
He convicted us of sin, righteousness, and eternal judgment.
He showed us His Truth.
He gave us faith to believe in all He had done for us in Christ.
He convinced our heart of the truth of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
He showed us our sin and gave us mercy to understand.
He showed us and He told us that He is God.
He showed us He is merciful and ever loving.
He gave us a sound mind to understand His way.
He gave us strength to follow Him.
He gave us faith to know the truth and He gave us understanding.

Invitation to study the ministry of the pure milk of the word

There is much more to the discerning of the foods God has prepared for us at His banquet table. I do not see where a man can benefit from the strong meat until he has first benefited from the milk. There is much more to the milk than commonly presented, and I will send it to you as God enables as I receive your request. The results you will see of growth and spiritual health are amazing. As Peter wrote to strong believers who were so strong they could endure persecution, As newborn babes desire ye the pure milk of the word that ye might grow thereby. Growth is by His mercy and grace which is given abundantly in the milk of the word.

Remember. You can see the spiritual reflected in the natural. The things of God that can be known are clearly shown by the things He has created.

A strong healthy life-giving body makes the rest of life much easier. Imagine the extra struggles of the weak or crippled to attain their goals. The food you provide can make the difference between either 1. extremes of health that are obvious such as falling victim to disease 2. or ranges of health such as weakness with low blood sugar or allergies or even asthma

Most people don't recognize certain kinds of problems with children until it becomes a clinical problem, that is to say, very severe. Many problems can exist at a sub-clinical level, that are enough of a problem to hinder every day activities in one or more ways. Those problems can be recognized and overcome with very simple steps.

Thinking problems, inability to concentrate, lack of focus, lack of goal orientation, desire, motivation can often be rooted in what the child is eating or not eating. This includes both body and brain food, ie food we take through the mouth and food which is taken through the eyes into the mind, heart and soul. This means books, tv, and other media.

Often a general approach aimed at the roots of the situation can bring wonderful results within a short time with just generalized application of foundational truths or as I like to call them seed truths.

How do seed truths get such great results?
Simple. Because good seeds produce a whole tree with good fruit.
