SALVATION

Jesus the Christ died on the cross.
He paid the penalty of sin.

The penalty of sin is death.
He paid that by shedding His blood, willingly, at that cross, some 2,000 years ago.

All of history has been dated by His life in this world. Our calendars are dated from His life and death.

Many do not believe.
Will you?

Sin and its curse came into the world by the first man and woman, called Adam and Eve.

We all inherited that curse of sin through the blood-line going back to our great-great-....great grandparents, Adam and Eve.

All have sinned. All were put under the curse. We were all on a road to eternal hell-fire as a result of that curse and our own sin.

Sin is any action that falls short of the perfection and glory of God Almighty, our Creator.

The penalty for sin is death. A single sin brings that penalty. Just one sin. Have you ever lied? Have you ever coveted? Have you ever failed to love your neighbor as yourself?

Then under the law of God Almighty, you are guilty and deserving of death.

But God made a way. For He so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You see, Jesus was born by the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit of God Almighty came to the virgin Mary, and caused her to bear the son of GOD. Jesus was free from the curse of Adam. He was begotten (sired, seeded) by God's pure spirit.

His blood was pure. With that blood He willingly paid the penalty of death. God accepted the death of one pure man for the lives of all guilty men.

(Yes, ladies, that includes you. In the beginning, God created man. Male and female created He them. In the big context you are included. See Genesis 1:27 and Genesis 5:2 and write them down together, and read them over until everyone gets it. Better use the King James Version if you want to get the meaning. I don't know how other versions would mis-state it to you and you might miss the point because many other translations fail to communicate the point, like their translators didn't get it either. Trust the KJV. Where there is a difference between it and whatever else you read, go with the one God used to send around the world published by the King of England, France, Spain, and most of the known world at that time. That's another miracle of God how He turned the heart of that king to do God's will, but we talk about it in another place.

Scripture tells us one man died for all.

All who believe can receive the benefit of that shed blood of Jesus.

Jesus paid the price for you. Your simple choice is to believe and accept it, or deny and reject.

Either way, it's there for you. Whether you accept it or not. Jesus died at that cross, shedding His blood willingly.

For God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, through Jesus Christ and Him crucified, through the blood of the only begotten Son of God, shed at that Roman cross 2,000 years ago.

He planned it before the world began.

He executed His plan of salvation 2,000 years ago; that's when He made the way for you to be free from the curse of sin and death.

Today, as long as it's called "Today", you can receive, you can accept what He did. Only you can accept the gift for you.
Your SALVATION is in the name Jesus. That God was manifest in the flesh as our Salvation.

Confess with your mouth, and believe in your heart that Jesus the Christ, the only begotten Son of God, died for you.

This is what Jesus said, He that believes in Me and is baptized shall be saved.

It is explained in scripture that the apostles of Christ baptized people in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is further explained that they baptized in the name of Jesus. What does this mean? What is that name? That name is essentially clarified for us in Isaiah 12:2 where it is written that God is manifest in the flesh as our Salvation, and it expresses this idea three times, in three ways, according to the Hebrew language and the entire body of scripture. That verse summarizes in one sentence the entire theme of scripture, and the key word in that verse takes on the entire meaning of the verse, and all of scripture supports it, that Yeshua means God is become our Salvation. That is the BIG meaning of the name Jesus, and the name (to us that is most important, after all, He has many names, but YESHUA is what counts the most for us, and includes for us all the other names.) That is the understanding of the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; and of the name of Jesus. It is such a rich meaning, it gives life to my bones each time I explain it. Hope you receive it.

Why be baptized? After all, even the thief on the cross went to heaven, because Jesus said he would (All who call upon the name of Jesus shall be saved.) and that man wasn't baptized. So what's the story? For those of you who don't plan on immediately dying and still plan on living, baptism is explained by Peter as an act of obedience based on your first found faith in Jesus, like Noah obeyed God, and the flood of water gave Noah a clean place in which to live. The flood of water gave him a new clean place to live without so much temptation to sin, it even destroyed roots of sin, and served as a barrier between Noah and sin. Totally putting Noah into a new place. Sure, many can go on without being baptized, especially if they're in the desert, or for some self-serving reason they think they don't need to do what Jesus said, but God said to do it. He explained through Peter that it gives the answer of a clean conscience. (How can one have a clean conscience who refuses to do what God said to be done?) So don't bother to tell me scripture is wrong where Peter wrote that baptism gives us the answer of a clean conscience. It can be compared to a first step of obedience to the faith of God. A simple and easy step. Who would not do what Jesus said?

It is good to do what God has clearly spelled out for us to do. Believe on Jesus Be baptized in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, in Jesus' Name, mainly with the understanding that God is become your salvation, that God manifest in the flesh as your salvation. That Jesus Christ and Him crucified paid the penalty of death for all your sins, and through Him you are reconciled to God.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. He said, If you believe on Me, do what I say. That means, trust Him, and do like He says.

As an ongoing thing for you to be looking for new and continued growth in the faith, this is what you do .... Seek out the book of the LORD, and read, for your continued growth is by faith and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

What He planned before the world began, He led to bring about 2000 years ago. And today you receive by faith in what He did.

The shed blood of Jesus separates us from sin. His blood paid the penalty of sin and death.
By His resurrection, we see evidence of who He is.
By your obedience, the world sees evidence of your faith.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Glory be to God, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, forever and ever, amen.

      Sin

What is sin? Sin is anything that falls short of the glory of God. The word comes from a root meaning of an archer who misses the target with his arrow. It meant to "fall short". If you do something that helps your neighbor, but only do it because you want to look good in his eyes, then it availed you nothing. If you go into a burning building to bring out a child, but only do it because you'd feel guilty if you didn't try, then you fell short. God's heart would do it for the good of the other person.

You think you've never stolen. Think you're not guilty? Have you ever coveted another person's stuff? That is a sin. The law points it out to us saying "Thou shalt not covet."

Another man says he's never fornicated or been guilty of adultery. Can he also say he's never looked upon another woman with lust in his heart? Jesus clarified that matter, it's the same as. No, none of us are innocent. We're all guilty under the law. But thank God, He made the way for us through Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Anything that breaks the law of God, those are the things that cause pain and heart break, agony, suffering and bring death into the world; the things that break the law of LIFE, the law of GOD. God is Life. Remember, Jesus said I AM the Way and the Truth and the Life.

What are we to do about sin? If we confess our sin to God, if we come into agreement with Him about our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrigheousness. 1st John 1:9

Repent. Turn from sin and begin following God. Letting your actions be by love and faith towards God, that is the way of LIFE.
The apostle Paul wrote this about repentance. He was writing to a church that had allowed much sin to exist and they repented mightily. 2 Corinthians 7:7-11
Godly repentance includes a sorrow that you sinned against God, and yourself, and your neighbor. It works a carefulness in you that you not do it again. It works in your heart to take action to clear yourself. It works an indignation that loathes doing the sin. It gives a vehement desire to do right and cease doing the sin. Some people even take revenge on their sin by going and doing things to make things right. If they stole, they return it. If they hurt, they try to help now instead.

If all those details don't hit you all at once, that's OK. Acknowledge what sin you know is in your life and repent, turning to God for help and guidance with a desire to follow Him, the way of Life. Your faith will grow. You will be transformed from glory to glory as you keep your eyes upon Jesus. 2 Corinthians 3:18

You want to be in agreement together with God? Forgive everything and everyone, for all things; for at that cross, Jesus said," Father, forgive them..."
Carrying a grudge of unforgiveness can only hurt you. Let it be done with at that cross of Jesus where all things were reconciled to God.

Acts 22:16 And now, why tarriest thou, Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins calling on the name of the Lord.
