Our high school English teacher, Mrs. Sorensen, made the bold statement to her classes at A&M Consolidated between the years of 1959 and 1961 that TV would be used to accelerate the changing of America. She taught us well to look for changes in government and culture. She gave us the background of Brave New World, 1984, and Animal Farm. Please remember there was a version of Brave New World out in 1902, prior to the one written by A. Huxley. She further stated that she has already seen the re-writing of history and admonished us to be on the watch to see it progress in our life-time.
Today, August 1, 2001, on our local tv stations, I only use rabbit ear antenna, not cable, more terrible programming that is working continually to re-mold American children into a culture far different from what our First President approved.
Remember a long time ago, when national headlines carried a story about a woman needing help
in New York City, screaming for help while being assaulted, plenty of people around, yet no one did anything?
That made national news for a season. People spoke of how it didn't used to be that way. And they wondered
about the changing attitudes in America.
This evening, I saw some new cartoon character show where a working man
caught on fire from an accident in the building where a convention was being held. He was a laborer in
the building maintenance and he ran into the convention meeting room screaming for help to put the fire out.
He was told to quit interupting the meeting, to sit down and wait to be recognized
by the chairman. He sat down, like a dutiful obedient citizen, burning, and died. No one portrayed
in the cartoon seemed to notice the man was on fire. Neither did they break rules of the meeting to help him.
And this was supposed to be funny.
When people laugh about things, they accept it. TV is using the disquise of humor to infect children with uncommon ways of thinking that are not how Jesus spoke. To disquise the transition efforts even more, I have noticed that often when the humor is particularly thick and heavy with things I wouldn't want my children to find humorous, that a thick foreign accent is used to cover it up even more. People say, Oh, it's only humor. But they do not know. Scripture has something to say about those who say, Oh, I was only in jest.
Again, August 1, 2001 A high school student from Rider spoke with me a few minutes in the Albertson's parking lot. He was explaining to me how classes were not interesting to him. Then he said the common way of thinking that I hear so much, "If they would only make it fun, then maybe I could do better ."
An advertisement today, July 30, 2001, showed more conditioning towards
eating without wisdom, and taking digestion pills to solve the problems.
This ad and others like it accelerate the process of people becoming dependent upon
manufactured drugs of various kinds for various activities of their life.
The ad showed a cartoon character racing around
gobbling bites off different advertised fast foods
and junk foods.
The ad was selling digestion aid pills.
What people need to learn is helpful foods to eat instead of junk or fast food
and to take time to eat in peace so the body can do its job of mastication, digestion, and
assimilation.
But no, the profit worshipping culture further entrenches the children and younger people
into the mind-set of speedy multi-tasking lives and fast eating of fast foods.
There are now patented drugs producing huge profits for people to take from the cradle to the grave.
There is a tremendous advertising budget to promote this drug culture.
Drugs corporations, like cigarette companies, delight in the prospects of future profits.
Notice how the truths of natural health only find their way onto the tv screens through private money ads?
For a book on the subject of food, drugs for profit by patent and law, money and health please order from the webmaster here. Cost is $29, and could save you thousands in medical bills.
The movies of men laying with men culture acceptance and approval and humor continue to increase.
The shows of people watching other people's heart hurts continue to multiply.
Tonight it reminded me of the Roman amphitheater with gladiators killing each other.
We've passed that in America. The age of violence on tv was at least a decade ago.
Now we're into violent or perverse heart expressions poured out for all to see on tv.
