Dear Sharon,
It just occurred to me, something I studied out sometime in the early 90's, that you would be blessed with the idea of it. The idea, the logos , as in Greek word logos, is VOICE.

Using computer Strong's Concordance, study out the word voice.

Remember recently you noticed the depth of meaning in
"The voice of the words and the words of the voice."

We do take our words too lightly because we Americans have so many of them, hardly knowing the etiology of any of them.

Most words are superfluous.
"Where words are many, sin abounds"
Multitude of words,.....useless

Strong men speak strong words is a phrase we might hear in an old Indian-western story.

Today , men speak politically correct words with no strength in them.

But, the idea of voice has to do with the manner of delivery.

Anyway, to this end, of you doing Heb and Greek word studies, as you see fit, I can email you attachments with a wonderful HG reference program. Or perhaps I may take time to have a friend burn it to a CD and mail to you.

The way a program works determines in large part how much you can do with it. There are HG reference programs that don't do near what this one does.

BTW, the word study on voice does require enough time into it to see the full range of application of the logos, "VOICE" It requires a diligent study, a perusal of all the references to the word, then a dim light begins to grow. And finally you're thrilled at what you've seen. But it takes some digging. A few words studied out like this, and one begins to appreciate the seed thoughts of words and their development and combinations. Then, seeing how the pure words (every word of God is pure, refined seven times) can be put to full symphonic use, we also see how superfluous unnecessary words are.

Do you know the significance of above verse, every word of God is pure, refined seven times?

He uses a small set of words.
He compounds them together by script and by context to form elaborated meanings and enhanced significances.
Their range of meaning and application is defined and limited by the context of scripture wherein they are found,
like a set of simultaneous equations defining the variables within those equations.
The sentences and stories of scripture are the set of simultaneous equations limiting and defining the variable
range of the meaning of the words.

Symbology and reference becomes rich when we communicate with words from a rich source.
Like grasshopper, to a Bible reader, can instantly bring to mind the comparison of size going into Canaan, and the whole exploration story and its fear and be referenced in a word.

But without that common inheritance, instead having vocabulary that is flooded with outside words, the significance today of words to many people is reduced to a vague sense of feeling what it means in that sentence.

Ask any friend to define the word virtue.
Few can. They mix it with many ideas, and give vague and varied explanations. Yet in its origin, it is pure, intact,
within the limits of defining what it is intended to be,
as in God does not lie. He is virtuous. He stays within who He is. A vase that hold water is virtuous, but a cracked vase is no longer virtuous. It can not do it's intended purpose. It has lost it's intended form and shape and thus cannot function as designed.

As the commandments are limits and boundaries,
so as we stay within them, we are virtuous.
As the faith of God is virtuous, so as we live by faith, we are virtuous.
It is a variable within a range and a definition.
Some will say, she is a virtuous women, she is a virgin.
And within that limit its a true statement.

But a virtuous women in the context of God
is one who stays within the realm of God's will for her whole life, soul, experience.
A virgin is a virgin, but not necessarily a virtuous woman.
It is narrow to say someone is a virtuous person because of any one attribute. A shattered bowel can have a single shard that still holds a spoonfull of water, .....

Ultimately, the virtuous glass bowl is the one still intact.

I love you,
I woke up after couple hours sleep, and started writing.
Then I had to write to you.

It seems that now you are grown enough to hear more.

Love and peace,
joy and contentment with godliness
